(Lakewood, Colo. – March 21, 2016) It’s bippity boppity boo time with the annual call for prom attire to populate the fifth annual Prom Swap, a Jefferson County tradition.
Teens who donate dresses, tuxedos/suits, shoes and accessories receive tickets to trade for new-to-you items. People can also “buy” tickets with canned goods: five cans per dress or tuxedo/suit, two for shoes, one per accessory. Donations will benefit Florence Crittenton High School, one of the largest and most complete providers of services for pregnant and parenting teens in the state of Colorado, and the Jeffco Action Center, which provides immediate response to basic human needs and promote pathways to self-sufficiency for Jefferson County residents and the homeless.
Donations for Prom Swap will be accepted at Belmar Library in Lakewood from March 26 to April 1. Then, Prom Swap doors open on Friday, April 1.
- Donation drop off: Mar. 26 – April 1
- Prom Swap Event: 12-8 p.m. Friday April 1
