(Lakewood, Colo. – Oct. 17) Are you a #Hamilfan? Fans of the smash Broadway musical Hamilton are in for a treat on Wednesday, Oct. 19 when Jefferson County Public Library teams up with Rocky Mountain PBS and Green Mountain High School’s Performing Arts Academy to present a sneak preview portion of the PBS documentary, Great Performances: Hamilton’s America (#HamilDocPBS). It’s part of The PBS Fall Arts Festival which is hosted by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The Teen Advisory Board at Belmar Library initiated the event, recognizing the pop-culture phenomenon’s popularity with their peers. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy high school performances of songs from the show before they preview the documentary.
